RING PISTON MAHLE
Sell Piston Ring Brand MAHLE
The piston ring, which is installed on the piston, functions to reduce the clearance between the piston and the inner wall of the cylinder liner, thereby minimizing the volume of gas leakage during the combustion process. In addition, piston rings also prevent engine oil from entering the combustion chamber. Another important role of the piston ring is to transfer heat from inside the piston to the cylinder liner wall.
A piston ring typically consists of 3 parts:
Oil Scraper Ring – removes excess lubricating oil adhering to the cylinder liner wall.
Oil Control Ring – prevents lubricating oil from entering the combustion chamber.
Compression Ring – acts as a seal between the piston and cylinder liner, preventing high-pressure combustion gases from leaking into the crankcase.
